He was a very famous French aviator and World War I pilot......












He was was one of the most successful navigators and cartographers of his age. In a career that spanned just over twenty years, he sailed with Captain William Bligh, circumnavigated Australia and encouraged the use of that name for the continent, survived shipwreck and disaster only to be imprisoned as a spy, identified and corrected the effect upon compass readings of iron components and equipment on board wooden ships, and wrote the seminal work on Australian exploration A Voyage To Terra Australis.








She is considered to be a legend in her sport....

Her younger brother Randy Moffitt grew up to become a professional baseball player, pitching for 12 years in the major leagues for the San Francisco Giants, Houston Astros, and Toronto Blue Jays.

She has been an outspoken advocate against sexism in sports and society and one of the first prominent female athletes to admit that she was gay.



This football club founded in 1911 is the only club to have to have won both the professional and amateur versions of the FA Cup when they beat Liverpool in 1988. Nicknamed The Dons; Wombles;The Crazy Gang, this club spent most of its time in the first and second divisions, although appearing in the premiership from 1986-2000. The club used to play at Selhurst Park. However they moved to Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
