C1 is an India Parsi entreprenuer who was once described by economic times as "the epitome of South Mumbai's old money and genteel respectability." Apparently, C1 is also a distant relative of the legend, JRD Tata.

C1 is the chairman and majority owner of C2, a major Indian company whose tagline is : "Bring style home"

C1's grandfather C3 was a prominent historical character. C3's ancestors were originally Hindu Rajput but C3's family converted themselves to Shia Islam. C3's first major job was that of an apperentice at the London office of Graham's Shipping and Trading Company. In 1896, C3 joined the Indian National Congress but quit in 1920 after discord with the then Congress Leader. In 1925, C3 was offered knighthood by Lord Reading but he replied : "I prefer to be plain Mr. C3" (the pic shows C3's tomb)

C1's wife C4 is the head of the Gladrags Magazine that is one of the forces behinf the Miss India beauty pageant.

C1 and C4 have two sons C5 and C6. C5 is the manafing director of C2 and a co-owner of one of the IPL teams along with C7, while C6 is the head of Go Air.

C7 is the brand ambassador of Chopard, the maker of luxury watches and jewellery. In September 2006, the Uk magazine, Eatern Eye ranked her at 41 in the list of Asia's Sexiest Women. C7 is the recipient of the Godfrey Phillips National Bravey Award and also the winner of the Silver Hugo(Best Actress) award at the 2008 Chicago International Film festival for her role in the Canadian film, Heaven on Earth.
